THE SCHOOLS PROGRAM

Picture
Since 2009, the festival has been offering schools the opportunity to screen a program of accessible short films to their students. Every school around the country is invited to be part of this free program which aims to showcase services that increase access to film & screen content.

It's easy and free! All you need to do is register your interest using the form below. We will contact you about receiving our program of short films on DVD!

The DVD comes with an education pack and contains 10 new Australian short films, labelled by age group. Pick and mix films best suited for your classroom. All films feature open captions and audio description which can be turned on and off. It's a fun way to raise awareness around issues of access and ability, while discussing storytelling and cinema in the classroom.

We welcome all schools whether they cater for children with a disability or not, so don't hesitate to be in touch!

*The 2011 tour has now finished and the 2012 tour will begin again in November next year. Please get in touch if you are interested in hosting a screening as part of next year's tour!
